Enviroweek’s actions empower Aussie kids with the knowledge of their positive everyday impact – for them, their school and our environment.
From now to September 5 Aussie kids take action, create online profiles, connect with others, share tips and watch their impact grow.
For #Enviroweek, August 30-September 5, students and schools celebrate their impact with their communities and join in the People’s Choice Awards.
Aussie kids taking up Enviroweek’s waste-free lunch action discover that in a year their packaged lunch waste fills a 240-litre wheelie bin. Multiply that by their class, school and all Enviroweek schools and the impact is both real and big.
Port Fairy Consolidated School teacher, Tracey Gray said, “Students care greatly about wildlife and our planet, but feel powerless to make an impact. Enviroweek participation shows them they hold power for good through their daily choices and actions.
“When Waste Warriors measure their waste and do the maths, they know they have power for positive change.”
